| Energy bills are the second largest cost of owning a home and, with rising energy prices due to World conflicts, home buyers are increasingly concerned about energy efficiency. The Home Energy Tune-Up is designed to improve the energy efficiency of existing homes by as much as 25%. The Program addresses the three largest barriers to making energy efficiency improvements in the home: lack of information, lack of money, and lack of time.

- Inventory of all energy using systems and major appliances
- An
analysis of heating and cooling systems, existing insulation, windows, thermostat controls and hot water heater
- A list of cost effective recommended upgrades
- An estimate of energy savings and replacement costs for all recommended equipment upgrades
- Assistance finding contractors and suppliers to install recommended measures and the assistance of a ”Personal Shopper” service to oversee price, selection and implementation
- For existing homes, information that may be used to determine what equipment may be eligible for financing
Home Energy analysis has also assisted past customers in decisions concerned switching complete heating/cooling systems, such as from Electrical to Oil or Gas heat. Depending on the difficulty/cost of installation, which varies from house to house, it may or may not save the customer money in the long run of things to have an entire energy system swapped.
